The challenge

The general problem that we want to address is loneliness among the elderly. This problem has become much more apparent as due to the Coronavirus elderly have difficulty getting out of their homes to socialize with others. This means that the elderly are not challenged cognitively and socially through conversation with others. This decay can lead to emotional loneliness, which means that someone lacks contact in his/her life.

The solution

We want to build an application that is easy to use for the elderly. With this application, the elderly will be able to find like-minded people and they can talk to these people using services provided in the app. This will challenge the elderly to make new friends, while people of other age groups can also spend time with the elderly in a rather convenient manner.
