Campaign promises for everyone

The challenge

Unfortunately, low literacy is a common problem in the Netherlands. Imagine it's election time and you have to vote: which party do you choose if you don't understand their points of view? Best case scenario you vote for someone who might look nice or you vote for the same party your friends vote for. Worst case scenario you don't vote at all. The right to vote is one of the most important values in our democracy and when elections are nearby, parties and the government try their best to get everyone to vote. So how come all these campaign programs are hard to read for a lot of people?

The solution

I would like to "translate" political campaign programs to B1/A2 level and use pictograms to make it even more understandable. This would ensure that more people understand the differences between parties and what they stand for (on all different levels of government in the Netherlands). The goal is to help them choose who to vote for and this hopefully lead to more people voting.
